In what voices does a poem speak. one cannot really speak of the poet's voice. that's a misnomer. one can speak of the poem's voice[s] _ the actual speaking/reciting voice of the poet, the one who writes and reads aloud, is another matter. to confuse the two, which is what literary criticism has done, and subsequenetly the general public is to fuse the actual voice, and the 'inner ones' of the text.
